The Hot Pink Backpack Diaries: Yes, this Backpacker is 45% Kikay Too

From the first day I exposed and indulged myself to traveling, I immediately eliminated that Maarte-Pasusyal-Attitude (well, I think I have never been tagged as such). I became 200% more kuripot and/or practical in a sense that I only buy what I badly NEED. Believe me. Then I realized... (*insert before and after flashback transition effect please*)

Life has become simpler and happier, definitely. From killer stilettos, I started to love wearing hiking shoes and Sanuk. From shoulder bags, I started buying 35L-50L mountaineering bags. From night parties to all-night-blogging, charities, and hikes. From luxurious-all-expense-paid-travels to ahmm... less than 500-all-in-budget-trips

But last weekend, I got reminded that there's still like around hmmm... 45% Kikay in me that I enjoyed checking out abubots in the recent Global Pinoy Bazaar at Rockwell Tent Makati. (Thanks Yabang Pinoy for the free passes!)

Look! I found them all cute!
Toiletry Travel Bag from Bag Org for P150.00 only :)

And tsararan! My new camera bag - IzzoShop's latest Molly Camera Satchel! :)

Now, no need to bring my big-boyish-camera-bag

Got this colorful camera strap from IzzoShop too.
Php199.00 only.

I have been looking for this bottlecap ring since last year... Haaist... at last! :)
 I scored it for Php64.50 only :)

This cute 'Keep Calm and Travel On' necklace is just for Php120.00.
Check out Hodge Podge for more cutie bottlecap accessories :)

But wait there's more! Got some cute dresses, shirts, and PH-made food products, too.
Here's one of my family's new favorite:

My favorite booths this year
Agos Pilipinas, Hodge Podge, Tongo's Super Tuyo, Yabang Pinoy, and IzzoShop

Hmmm... Just one of those days. Thanks Pinoy Entrepreneurs! Well, I think I need to start saving again for that next trip. =)

  5. Traveling does teach you the simpler way of life and we learn the needs vs the wants though of course, it's also just right to visit and shop in bazaars like this from time to time.

  6. I always wondered what it's like to be a back packer.. that is one of the luxuries that I can't afford yet because of other priorities. I can't relate with more than half of the items presented in this post except for that spicy garlic which I am very much interested (like you said all Kikay stuff hehe). :)

  9. What you say is true how travelling can really change the way you deal with your money. I have been curious, how are Sanuk shoes? They do not look easy to maintain, are they?

    @ fyhmd,

True. Traveling really changes one's perspective. It makes people more open, receptive, and unattached to material things.

Hmmm... I dont really wash my Sanuk a lot. But, it's easy. I wash them with soap bar.

    @ Franc,

Yup, you're right! That's also the main reason why I love going to Bazaars because for sure, there you'll see one-of-a-kind stuff... and they're not usually seen in malls

  16. I love that pink satchel! I just wish there'd be a purple because i love that color more. You've got a lot of funky finds here + it's great to see Pinoy entrepreneur doing good in bazaars.

    @ Itin Bique Calvo,

The quality is good. For that price of Php795 for a camera bag, its worth it. And it's actually surprising that the leather is of good quality too. :)
